About Trinity Groodles

In 2005, we welcomed our first Groodle, Theodora (aka Teddy) into our family. She was such a terrific dog, we fell in love and wanted a second Groodle however having hunted high and low we could not find a breeder that we felt comfortable with.

So we embarked on our journey to become the type of breeder that we would want to welcome a dog from. So with that thought in mind Trinity Groodles was established.

We are a small, ethical breeder focusing on breeding quality dogs.

Ethical
breeding

Ethical breeding means that our breeding dogs are fully DNA tested and have had their hips/elbows tested and scored. To ensure our puppies grow up healthy and happy with great attitudes it’s about making careful choices about breeding, nurturing and nutrition so that our puppies are given the best  start in life. We have a maximum of two litters per year.

Fully
vaccinated

We ensure all puppies are fully vaccinated, microchipped and health checked before being released to their new homes. Being fully vaccinated keeps puppies safe from serious illnesses, while microchipping keeps them safe from theft and facilitates local council pet registration.

Terrific therapy/ assistance dogs

We specialise in raising calm and confident puppies. They are raised to be terrific therapy, assistance and companion dogs. All puppies are behaviourally tested, enabling Trinity Groodles to match puppies to their forever homes. Patient and gentle, a Trinity Groodle is always ready to offer support and comfort to those in need.

Creating a world where ethical breeding is the only type of breeding

Responsible & Ethical breeders

What does that mean?

We started breeding Groodles 16 years ago because we welcomed our very first Groodle, Theodora into our family and found her to be such a wonderful dog that we wanted another.

Having searched high and low we were not able to find a breeder who we felt 100% comfortable with. So we decided to breed our own dogs.

Today, Trinity Groodles is classified as a microbreeder under Victorian legislation.

Our dogs are health tested and free of any and all congenital health conditions via Orivet.

We comply with all aspects of Victorian State law and animal welfare codes of practice. We have our Source number and are fully endorsed by the Puppy Scam Awareness Australia organisation as ethical breeders. Additionally, we are members of the Responsible Dog Breeders Association of Australia (a recognised Applicable Organisation by Animal Welfare Victoria).

We initially bred F1 wool coats and then moved to breeding F1B.

Over the years we have developed our own bloodline of quality multigen, fleece coated, Standard Groodles who fulfil roles as companions; qualified assistance and therapy dogs.

We have two litters per year preferring to focus on breeding and rearing quality Standard Groodle puppies who are 100% healthy and well socialised.

We do not breed any other breed nor variety of dog.

Our experience in the dog world includes professional grooming, canine nutrition, training, being advocates of canine ownership and responsible dog breeding for all breeds and extends to a knowledge of canine sports/ activities and acting as content providers for a number of television, radio and public performances (including Yappy Hour TV; radio commentary via 3MP & SEN; plus event management and appearances at the Royal Adelaide & Royal Sydney Shows, Dog Lovers Shows and a range of pet expos and events).

Resume of experience can be provided.

We belong to our local dog obedience club and regularly participate in obedience and Rally O.
